The shortage of rare-earths materials in Europe is causing considerable supply problems for microchips. This is how the European project EXCEED (trustEd and fleXible system-on-Chip for EuropEan Defence) was born. This project aims to lay the foundations for European technological independence through the creation of a trusted supply chain for the production of flexible and re-configurable System-on-Chip (SoC) devices. The EXCEED project has a duration of 3 years and is managed by a consortium made up of 19 companies from 7 European countries (Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Poland, Greece, Norway).

The GEODE (GalilEO for EU DEfence) project is developed within the European Defense Industrial Development Program calls (EDIDP PNTSCC-2019). Its objective is to increase European industrial competitiveness in the strategic domain of devices for positioning, navigation, timing and synchronization – through the creation of secure modules for the reception/processing/decoding of geolocation signals from Galileo (European system) and GPS (US system). The GEODE project has a duration of 6 years and is managed by a consortium made up of 18 companies from 5 European countries (Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Belgium).

ELT Group’s excellence in fighting against malicious drones has been brought to a European level through the JEY-CUAS project. The Joint European sYstem for CUAS is a program for the European anti-drone configuration. It covers the detection, monitoring, classification, identification, assessment of threats and, where necessary, the neutralization of the threat itself. The system will focus on modularity, scalability and interoperability in Urban Protection, Moving asset protection and Strategic asset protection scenarios.
