Elettronica S.p.A. considers the protection of occupational health and safety and the environment an indispensable element of business operation and management.

In order to improve the standards in this area, for the company and its partners, the General Management maintains an Integrated Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Management System (HSE MS) that deals organically and systematically with all aspects of occupational health and safety, Travel Security and Environment.

In addition, paying special attention to the needs and expectations of Stakeholders, the DG has integrated environmental sustainability into its processes and products and its contribution to the protection of people’s health and well-being into its business strategies.

To achieve this goal, the DG is committed to:

• allocate appropriate resources for prevention activities and implementation of the HSEMS;
• identify and appoint its own Representative to ensure the adequacy and effectiveness of the HSEMS;
• comply with applicable regulations and ensure increasingly high standards of OSH and Environment, with a view to continuous improvement;
• prevent pollution by limiting, as far as technically possible, the environmental impacts generated by its activities (waste generation and emissions, resource consumption, environmental protection);
• continuously involve staff in the management of health and safety and environmental aspects by consulting, raising awareness and training all its employees;
• promote ongoing communication on environmental and OSH issues to and from customers and suppliers;
• checking the suitability and performance of suppliers, contractors and employees for OSH and environmental aspects;
• ensure its employees plan and organize work trips with all necessary safeguards, in order to ensure the physical safety, health, moral protection of its employees and to simultaneously ensure the protection of personal and professional information;
• ensure the support and on-site services necessary for the management of emergencies that may involve its resources engaged in work outside the company perimeter;
• ensure the structured management of crisis situations (Crisis Management) by ensuring the deployment of necessary resources;
• monitor, measure and review the HSEMS and its implementation, promoting its continuous improvement;
• promote Safety and Environment as a founding value in all activities;
• ensuring innovation of processes and technologies in order to improve OSH and reduce environmental impact.
